COURSE DELIVERY STATEMENT

Mayo Abbey Parish CDC CLG (T/A St. Colman’s Training Centre) is committed to delivering its courses as advertised. For a course to commence it is necessary to enrol a minimum number of participants. If this number is not reached we reserve the right to postpone or cancel the course.

Payments for courses may be made in instalments but full payment must be received prior to the course starting.

Participants will not be permitted to commence a course/module unless the course/module has been paid for in full by the learner prior to commencement, unless a funding agreement has been put in place prior to the participant being offered a place on the course.


REFUND STATEMENT

In the event of a participant cancelling their place on a course:

  • Cancellations received at least 14 days before the start date of the course will receive a refund of any fees paid minus the bank charges if paid by card.
  • Cancellations received with less than 14 days to go before the start date of the course will not be eligible for a refund.

In some circumstances, refunded fees can be transferred to another course of the same type by contacting the training co-ordinator.

REFUNDS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ONCE A COURSE HAS STARTED.

In the event of a course being postponed by us, participants will be notified of the new date.  If it is a case the participant is unable to commit to attending the amended dates they will be:

  • offered a full refund of any monies paid to date for the course; OR
  • given the option of transferring any monies paid to date for the course towards a place on a similar course in the future.

In the event of a course being cancelled by us, participants will be notified and they will be:

  • offered a full refund of any monies paid to date for the course; OR
  • given the option of transferring any monies paid to date for the course towards a place on a similar course in the future.

Refunds when processed are processed on a weekly basis and take approximately 2-3 weeks to present in the applicant bank account

INTRODUCTION

For the purposes of the statement:

 “MAPCDC” means our company, Mayo Abbey Parish Community Development Company CLG.

MAPCDC CLG is committed to respecting the privacy, and protecting the personal information of all individuals who share their information with us in the course of our work as well as individuals who use our website, communications and social media channels, in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This Privacy Statement sets out how we collect, use and store your personal information, (any information that identifies or could identify you).  

WHO WE ARE

MAYO ABBEY PARISH CDC CLG is a registered charity and social enterprise  located in the village of Mayo Abbey, a Clár area in South Mayo. Over the years the company have developed a number of projects which enable them to carry out the company objectives.

The company was officially registered with the Companies Registration Office in 1999 (Company Registration No. 300207). Under the Registration of Business Names Act 1963, “St. Colman’s Training Centre” and “Mayo Organic Centre” are registered business names of the company.  Mayo Abbey Parish CDC has adapted the formal legal structure of a company limited by guarantee without share capital under the 2014 Companies Act.

The company has charitable status for Revenue purposes (charity number CHY 13470), and is registered with the Charities Regulator (Registration Number 20042073).

OUR RESPONSIBILITIES TO YOU

As a ‘data controller’, MAPCDC are responsible for, and control the processing of, any personal information you give to us.

GDPR requirements for data controllers means that data must be:

  • Processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner
  • Collected for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes
  • Adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary
  • Accurate and, where necessary, kept up-to-date
  • Retained only for as long as necessary
  • Processed in an appropriate manner to maintain security.

DISCLOSURE
MAPCDC will hold the data you provide safely and securely. We will only disclose your information if necessary to third parties who provide services to allow us to fulfil our obligations to provide our services, e.g.., training partners, accreditors, funding partners, sponsoring bodies, government departments.

YOUR INFORMATION – WHAT WE COLLECT, WHY AND HOW WE USE IT

Data we collect

You are not required to provide us with personal data unless you wish to enquire or avail of our services, subscribe to our mailing list, support our fundraising efforts, work or volunteer with us, or provide us with goods and/or services.

In the course of our work, MAPCDC needs to gather and use certain information about individuals including:

  • Service Users
  • Tutors
  • Learners
  • Employees and prospective employees
  • Volunteers including Committee Members and Directors
  • Suppliers
  • Business Contacts
  • Other people the organisation has a relationship with or may need to contact.

We collect personal data that identifies you as an individual. We do this when you have provided us with information and consented for its use in your interest and for the purposes set out in this privacy statement.

The personal information we collect includes but is not limited to details such as your name, email address, postal address, telephone number and bank details (suppliers/fee paying service users).  In collecting and processing your data we are committed to:

  • Putting you in control of your privacy and providing you with clear choices
  • Being transparent about how we collect and use your data
  • Securely protecting the data you entrust to us and data processors used by us, using appropriate organisational and technical measures
  • Adhering to data protection laws

The personal data that you provide us with will only be used for the purpose for which it has been originally obtained or to fulfil legal or regulatory requirements as appropriate.

DATA RETENTION

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

Due to the nature of our services we hold different data for different periods of time so that we can comply with employment legislation, contractual obligations etc. however, all data will be erased/destroyed once the need for the data has expired.
